‘Promised land’ belongs to Christians

To answer an Oct. 6 Fence Post letter from Elizabeth Pearson of Elmhurst: The Palestinians have occupied Palestine for about 1,400 years.

A large portion of the Jewish people left the area for Europe and other parts of the world, the United States being one of their favorite destinations.

After Jesus died for our sins, as a well-read Christian I know that most of the Jews of the Middle East converted to Christianity. That’s why there are so many more of us.

The promised land actually belongs to today’s Christians. Today’s Israelis have no more rights than anyone else.
