Dist. 214 earns SchoolSearch award

Township High School District 214 has earned the 2011 SchoolSearch Bright A+ Award for academic excellence in education. It is among the top 5 percent of school districts in the state academically, based on the 2010 Illinois Report Card Data. Only 59 Illinois school districts from a field of 868 were honored with this distinction.The high school criterion is the ACT composite score of all students tested. Districts qualifying for this award had an average ACT score of 23.2 or above. The Illinois state average ACT score is 20.5 and the national average is 21. This is the seventh consecutive year that District 214 has received this award.
