Mt. Prospect holds clothing drive to Oct. 25

The Village of Mount Prospect Human Services Department is collecting new and gently used winter clothing for area families in economic need. Has your child outgrown his snow pant suit? Is there a coat you haven't worn for several seasons? These items may be taking space in your closet, but may be a treasure to a parent needing a warm coat for their way to work or a child who wants to play in the snow. The following sites are collecting coats, sweaters, scarves, hats, mittens, gloves, snow pants, etc. through Tuesday, October 25, 2011.

• Village of Mount Prospect at 50 S. Emerson is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

• Mount Prospect Police / Fire Department at 112 W. Northwest Highway is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• Busse Car Wash is located at 113 E. Prospect Avenue in Mount Prospect. The car wash is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
