Barrington H.S. named among nation's best for math, science

Barrington High School has made the U.S. News and World Report list of the Best High Schools for Math and Science in the United States.

The designation recognizes the school for exceeding criteria for test performance, college readiness and opportunities for least-advantaged students. Only 36 other Illinois schools are among the 565 nationwide that earned Gold or Silver awards from the magazine.

Nearly 22,000 public high schools across the country were considered for the honor.
