WHS ‘Fusion’ another one-of-a-kind show
Wheeling High School’s popular student-produced show, “Fusion 16: Bits and Ends, Odds and Pieces,” will be presented in the Robert E. Sang Theater, Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 13-15. All performances are at 7:30 p.m.
Always a one-of-a-kind performance experience, this year’s show promises to live up to that standard. The student-driven, interdisciplinary production is created, directed, designed, written and choreographed by students, representing a wide range of interests and backgrounds. The cast is kept on course by dance teacher Diane Rawlinson and creative writing teacher Christine Pacyk, who help the students organize their creative energy while allowing them to make artistic decisions.
Now in its 16th year, this year’s Fusion theme is based on the idea that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Students traveled to Goodwill to test that theory, and there, a show was born! Join the cast for a shopping adventure in an intimate, transformed theater. Learn about the history of the random objects for sale, how to survive pushy salespeople, and catch a glimpse of what really happens after store hours.
Tickets are $6 at the door. If theatergoers bring an item to donate to the show (and then Goodwill), tickets will be discounted at $5. (847) 718-7066.
