John Hersey HS says, ‘let’s dance’

John Hersey High School’s Orchesis program will host its first Huskie Dance Workshop from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, for area youth ages 4-14. Perfectly suited for the boy or girl who loves to perform, can’t stop dancing, and yearns to take his/her talents to the big stage, the dance workshop will offer the opportunity to learn a variety of dance styles such as Ballet, Musical Theater, Hip-Hop, and Jazz.

Special classes for boys will also be offered.

There will be a public performance at 7 p.m. and an optional pizza party in between the workshop and performance. The fee is $25; registration should be completed in advance, by Oct. 5. The registration fee entitles each student to receive a three-hour workshop, T-shirt, goody-bag, certificate, and one complimentary ticket to the evening’s performance. Additional tickets for the performance will be available at the door.
