Shining Star nominations now being accepted

Each year the Village recognizes individuals and organizations that contribute to making Mount Prospect a better community at the Celestial Celebration.

The event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4 and the Special Events Commission is now accepting nominations for the 2012 Shining Star Awards. If you have a neighbor that would bend over backward for anyone in need, or know someone who is always there but asks nothing in return? Then you might know a Shining Star candidate. They can only win if they are nominated.

Nomination forms and category descriptions are available on the web site, www.mountprospect.org. Nominations must be received by November 15.
