Man hospitalzed from fall off gas-powered skateboard
A 25-year-old Crystal Lake man was hospitalized after falling off a motorized skateboard and hitting his head, police said.
The man was found unconscious lying in the roadway near the intersection of South Williams Street and Crystal Lake Avenue at about 9:09 p.m. Tuesday night, police said.
Police said he was riding a long board skateboard equipped with a 52cc gasoline engine and had lost control.
He was taken to Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center with head injuries.
Crystal Lake Police continue to investigate, but no charges had been filed as of Wednesday.
