Enjoy Fall Festival, Oktoberfest Oct. 15

The Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association invites everyone to join them for the Annual Fall Festival and Oktoberfest Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 15. The festivities will take place in downtown Mount Prospect at Emerson Street and Busse Ave.

The Fall Festival will kick off the day-long events from 1 to 4 p.m. with hay rides, pony rides, two moon bounces, pumpkin decorating, crafts and balloons. There will be the famous never-ending trick or treat candy line made up of 30 local businesses, and a stilt walker.

Kids can snack on fall classics such as taffy apples and german pretzels or enjoy a full array of German food. All activivites are free and sponsored by the Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association.

Stick around for the party to really kick into high gear with some Oktoberfest fun. The fest will immediately follow the Fall Festival at 4 p.m. and run until 10:30 p.m. Authentic German food, beer and music by Phenix will highlight the evening under a heated tent. The Best German Attire Contest will be part of the fun. The two-event festival will be guaranteed Gemutlichkeit (Good Times) for all!
