Glendale Heights man charged in attack on woman

A Glendale Heights man was charged with attacking a woman in an apartment complex parking lot Sunday night.

Adan Morales-Guerrero, 21, of the 2300 block of Century Point Drive, was charged with unlawful restraint and aggravated battery. Police say he attacked a 33-year-old woman about 11:15 p.m. Sunday as she walked to her car.

Authorities said Morales-Guerrero grabbed the woman from behind and forced her to the ground, at which point she screamed. A person in the area reportedly saw what was happening, chased and caught the suspect, and held him until police arrived.

The victim was physically unharmed, police said.

Morales-Guerrero's bond was set at $200,000.
