Winter clothing drive benefits Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul

The City of St. Charles and Charlestowne 18 cinema are conducting a Winter Clothing Drive on Sept. 26 - Oct. 10, in conjunction with the release and showing of the movie "Munger Road" at the Charlestowne 18 theaters.

Any new and gently worn winter clothing for children and adults is welcome.

All donations will benefit the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul charities.

Drop-off boxes will be placed in the lobby of St. Charles City Hall, 2 E. Main St., and at the service desk in the main lobby of the Charlestowne Cinema 18, 3740 E. Main St in St. Charles.

Also, during Scarecrow Festival Oct. 7 - 9, donations will be accepted at the Munger Road booth at the southwest corner of the City Hall building.

Only winter items are needed please. Suggestions include: sweaters, pants, blazers, coats and jackets, vests, hats, gloves, mittens and scarves, dresses, skirts, sweatshirts and fleecewear.
