Scout-O-Rama set for Saturday at Deer Grove in Palatine

The Boy Scouts of America Signal Hill District will host Scout-O-Rama from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Deer Grove Forest Preserve near Palatine.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place in Grove No. 5, located on Quentin Road just north of Dundee Road.

Hundreds of families and potential Scouts are expected to attend and be introduced to skills, exhibits, competitions, skits and displays.

It will feature a pinewood derby, rocket launch, rope bridge, rain gutter regatta and geocaching.
