Flawed argument in same-sex marriage

I find “tradition” to be a flawed argument in the marriage and family values debates. By choosing to accept the traditional stance then it seems we should to restore other traditional values, such as slavery and indentured servitude, child labor and public flogging. Even a women’s right to vote or write a letter to counter my views would not be allowed.

I respect that one’s religious views dictate that marriage be between one man and one women but not everyone’s has the same religious belief. Since government bodies issue marriage licenses any law that denies this right to a same sex couples is a blatant violation of the First Amendment.
