Mount Prospect Community Center turns 2

The Mount Prospect Community Connections Center will mark its second anniversary with a 3-7 p.m. celebration on Thursday, Sept. 22 at the center, 1711 W. Algonquin Road in the Crystal Court shopping area. The village’s Human Services Department and the Mount Prospect Public Library’s South Branch both offer the full range of services at this site. The Mount Prospect Police Department has a liaison there, and District 214 Community Education, District 59 and Northwest Community Hospital deliver vital community services. Human Services Director Nancy Morgan is thrilled how successful the center has been. “We knew we were onto something really special as we were developing it,” she said. “It is wonderful to see how the residents have utilized its many services.”
