Winfield Road closed for hours after accident

A stretch of Winfield Road was closed for more than four hours after a Wednesday morning crash that injured four at Winfield and Mack roads near Winfield.
The accident happened just before 7:30 a.m., according to DuPage County Sheriff’s officials. The injured were taken to Central DuPage Hospital with unknown injuries, they added.
Lanes were shut down on Winfield Road between Mack Road and Roosevelt Road due to the crash, officials said. Lanes reopened just before noon.
Dawn Domrose, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, said no other information was available about the crash.
