West Chicago's Street Art Banner “People's Choice” Winner Announced

West Chicago, Illinois: September 13, 2011 - The West Chicago Cultural Arts Commission extends congratulations to David Toney, the 2011 street art banner “People's Choice” winner. His winning banner is entitled “All Aboard”. David Toney is a life-long West Chicago resident and graduate of West Chicago Community High School where he became interested in photography. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialty in photography from Columbia College Chicago. While studying at Columbia College he produced a documentary project of photographs of West Chicago where an earlier version of “All Aboard” was one of the many photographs.

David was awarded a gift certificate to Gallery 200, the artist's cooperative located in downtown West Chicago. A winner was also chosen from all those who voted for David's winning banner. Alan Spear is the lucky winner and will also receive a gift certificate to Gallery 200.

The West Chicago Arts Commission and the artists would like to thank all those who took the time to view and vote for all the talented banner artists. Please visit Gallery 200 to give continued support to the arts in West Chicago.
