Obama thinks he is the state

Louis XIV, the absolute monarch of France prior to the French Revolution, is reported to have uttered the famous phrase, “L’etat, c’est moi,” meaning, “I am the state.” Louis XIV considered himself above the laws of France. He was free to cancel any law he didn’t like and proclaim anything law that he wished to have carried out. He elevated or debased whomever he wanted.

We are now seeing President’s Obama’s administration adopting the same attitude. Eric Holder, the Attorney General, declined to prosecute the thugs with batons filmed outside a Philadelphia voting place intimating voters coming to vote — a clear violation of voting rights law. L’etat, c’est moi. When unions did not get “card check” passed by Congress, even when both Houses were in Democratic control, the National Labor Relation Board passed the union desired regulation by fiat. L’etat, c’est moi. When Congress did pass the Defense of Marriage Act, the Justice Department announced they would not enforce that law at all L’etat, c’est moi.

When the immigration department finally had 300,00 illegal aliens ready to deport, the Obama Administration announced they would only deport a few after reviewing all the cases. Rule by fiat. When Boeing built a plant in South Carolina ready to employ more than 1,000 people in a right-to-work state, NLRB brought down the might of the U.S. Justice Department on Boeing. This will drag through the court for years, costing Boeing millions of dollars while the NLRB spends taxpayer money. Rule by fiat.

In his inaugural address, President Obama assured us that this was the day we had all be waiting for. This was the day the planet would begin to heal, that the seas would cease to rise. He neither controls the forces of nature nor is he above the law. L’etat, c’est moi.
