Pizza place helps community

Recognizing the value that family and community reign over all, even in a struggling economy, the Nick’s Pizza & Pub team works hard to ensure they can lend a hand to area organizations that need the assistance.

Having partnered with nearly 50 local and national causes over the years, many with a focus on children, Nick’s Pizza & Pub is involved in helping the communities at both restaurant locations in Crystal Lake and Elgin.

“Community involvement has always been a part of our business model, ever since we started Nick’s Pizza & Pub 16 years ago,” says Nick Sarillo, founder and CEO. “We’re always seeking new partnerships with organizations that share our purpose and values.”

Nick’s Pizza & Pub’s goal is to donate 5 percent of annual net sales to charitable causes. Through benefits and fundraisers the pizza company has supported the Children’s Center for Autism, CASA Kane County, Boys & Girls Club of Elgin and more.

Nick’s Special Events team provides the artwork and flyer for distribution to aid in generating awareness about the fundraiser. Groups are asked to decide on a date, in which the fundraiser lasts all day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Perfect for PTAs, PTOs, booster clubs, churches and community charity groups. Nick’s donates 15 percent of the net sales generated by fliers handed in on the day of the scheduled fundraiser. It’s a great way to come out and enjoy pizza in a fun-filled atmosphere while raising money for a good cause!
