Vista welcomes neurologist Dr. Antao Du
Vista Health System recently announced the addition of Antao Du, MD, Neurologist, to its medical staff on a full-time basis. Dr. Du is a member of the Vista Physician Group with his practice located at 30 Tower Court, Suite C. Patients and referring physicians can reach Dr. Du at (847) 599-0715. Dr. Du also sees patients at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan and Vista Surgery Center in Lindenhurst.
Dr. Du is available for consultations for any kind of neurological issues – headache, neck pain, back pain, weakness, tingling, numbness and/or pain in the arms and legs, seizure, syncope, memory problems and more. In addition, his areas of special interest include: epilepsy, neuromuscular disease, cerebral vascular disease, movement disorder, multiple sclerosis and neuroimaging.

Dr. Du is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and joins Vista with especially strong credentials. He earned his medical degree from the highly regarded Tongji Medical University in China and completed a residency program in Radiology at Beijing Hospital. In the U.S., he completed residencies in Transitional Medicine and Neurology at Detroit Medical Center that is affiliated with Wayne State University, where he also completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurology on a combined EEG/EMG track. Dr. Du has done extensive research in MRI and spectroscopy in stroke and neurodegenerative diseases working with Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.
Dr. Du will be one of several featured speakers at Vista's Healthy Woman Expo Event on Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort.
The Healthy Woman Expo will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. and is free to the public. It includes a wide range of presentations by Vista physicians along with information or screenings related to cholesterol, cardiac care, osteoporosis, weight management and breast health. Immediately following the Expo will be a ticketed dinner featuring inspirational guest speaker Abby Rike from NBC's “The Biggest Loser.”
