Man’s best friend will get a kick out of attending the Palatine Park District’s annual Canine Carnival from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 262 E. Palatine Road, Palatine.

There will be games, activities, raffles and the opportunity for handlers to get a photo taken with their pet.

The cost is $8 per dog with one handler, who needs to be at least 16 years old. Registration is required.

Dogs must be wearing a current rabies tag to participate and they must be kept on a leash at all times.

For details, call the park district at (847) 991-0333.
