Barrington Youth & Family Services welcomes new counselors for school year

Barrington Youth & Family Services (BYFS) welcomes Laura Deterville and Gabrielle Johnson, to the staff for the start of the 2011-2012 school year. Both join BYFS as part-time counselors and personal life coaches.

Laura Deterville is a licensed clinical professional Counselor with a masters in community counseling. She has counseled children, students and adults for more than 11 years, with specific expertise working with families on toddler/pre-schooler issues. Laura provides counseling and coaching services in both English and American Sign Language (ASL). She will have office hours available in our downtown Barrington office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Ms. Gabrielle Johnson is a Certified Professional Life Coach and Therapist with a Masters in Community Counseling. She has been a life coach in the Chicagoland area for more than 16 years. Gabrielle began coaching to provide clients with feedback, insights, guidance, focus and accountability in major areas of their lives. She is accepting new clients on Mondays and Thursdays at the BYFS offices.

Barrington Youth & Family Services (BYFS) is a nonprofit social service agency offering professional counseling, outreach, and prevention programs to Barrington/Carpentersville area youth and their families.
