Bowl for world record

Fox Bowl in Wheaton is joining other bowling centers across the nation to help set a new world record for games bowled in a single day. To that end, the local bowling alley will offer two free games to everyone who comes through their doors from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at 1101 Butterfield Road, Wheaton. The center’s 10-foot all walking bowling pin will make appearances at 1 and 4 p.m. for photos, and event will highlight Cosmic Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling. Fox Bowl will donate 10 percent of the Aug. 6 proceeds to People’s Resource Center in Wheaton. For more information, contact (630) 690-2400 or foxbowl.com.
