Rubber duck fundraiser in Mundelein
The Mundelein Park District will host its annual rubber duck race at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30 at the Barefoot Bay Family Aquatic Center, 1461 N. Midlothian Road, between Route 176 and Winchester Road, in Mundelein. All ages will be quacking up as they watch the patriotic “Uncle Sam” ducks float along the site’s Lazy River for fun prizes. “Rent” a duck for just $5 and get a free rubber ducky keychain. The event is free with general admission or season pass. The race benefits the not-for-profit Mundelein Parks Foundation, which raises funds for recreational and program scholarships allowing those in financial need to enjoy a variety of activities for free.
