Palatine 12U Red Demons win tournament

The Palatine Red Demons ended its season with a championship win against the Deerfield Warriors Sunday, July 17, at the Lake in the Hills Thunderstruck Tournament.

This win concluded a season in which they made the championship game in each of the six tournaments they participated, including the 12U AL-Cook Mid Suburban Baseball League Tournament, where they placed second against Highwood.

In addition to the Lake in the Hills Tournament, the boys also earned first-place honors in the Play the Turf Tournament in Jacksonville.

Players include Eric Bennes, Andrew Castro, Ryan Dowd, Jack Grochowski, Tom Josten, Drew Lemonidis, Charlie Ling, Adam Pautler, Dylan Schoknecht, Austin Schwantz, JT Streepy and Jack Trembley.

The Red Demon coaches are Gene Grochowski, Jim Schwantz, Jason Streepy and Matt Trembley.
