Monroe statue an insult to women

I guess art is whatever makes people comment. However, the Marilyn Monroe statue in front of the Tribune building in Chicago is the poorest form of art, the kind that appalls me. Those with daughters, wives, mothers and other women in their lives should be insulted by this so-called work. It may belong in an art museum, but not on Michigan Avenue.

What’s even more reprehensible are those with the mentality of grade-schoolers taking photos under the dress. Hey guys, it’s only a statue. Get a life, find a bar and take your chances at reality — and don’t forget to duck.
