Immanuel Preschool has new openings for fall

East Dundee: Parents of preschoolers have a late summer opportunity for registering their little ones at Immanuel East Dundee's preschool. Additional spots have been opened for the upcoming school year for both PK3 and PK4.

Local parents have been pleasantly surprised. One mom had been waiting and hoping for the best because her little one was not potty trained by the spring registration period. For others, job changes and moves have necessitated switching schools.

“We are so glad Immanuel has opened up new spots for the fall,” said one local mom. “We are thrilled that our kids will have the opportunity to attend Immanuel!”

Immanuel's Preschool gives its students a kindergarten-readiness curriculum with a focus on growing socially, academically and spiritually. Licensed teachers work with teacher's aides in each class, keeping the student to adult ratio at 7:1 or less.

Students enjoy special times for science and music weekly. During the year, parents and children attend some very special events such as the annual Preschool Program, Father's Night and an Animal Assembly.

For parents who need childcare, the school offers Extended Care from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on school days. Many parents use this option and are able to utilize the service full-time, part-time or on an as-needed basis. Extended Care is staffed with caring qualified workers and offers students times for crafts, free play, snack and rest time.

Immanuel Lutheran School is located on Main Street in East Dundee and serves students in grades PK3 to eigth grade.

Its rich history began in 1863 when it was founded to educate local German Lutheran students. From its origin as a one-room schoolhouse, it has grown to nearly 300 students. Families come from neighboring communities as far as Huntley and Kirkland for the high quality academics and varied extracurricular experiences.
