Firefighters battle Crystal Lake blaze
Firefighters remained at the scene of a 3-alarm blaze in Crystal Lake late Wednesday, hours after the house went up in flames.
Fire crews responded to the two-story bungalow on the 1300 block of Gardina Vista around 5:30 p.m. and raised it to a box-alarm, which brought in a number of neighboring departments to assist.
The Crystal Lake Fire Department remained at the scene, less than 100 yards west of the shores of Crystal Lake, as of 10:30 p.m. and were not available for comment.
