Gavin board opening:
Gavin Elementary District 37 is seeking people who are interested serving on the school board. Applicants for the vacancy should direct a letter to Superintendent John Ahlemeyer, Gavin School District 37, 25775 W. Highway 134, Ingleside, IL 60041. Officials said the letter should include reasons for wanting to serve on the board, history of any board experience and civic involvement. The letters should be received by July 11, 2011. Applicants must be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, a resident of the state of Illinois and the Gavin School District for at least one year, and a registered voter.
