Hawks get draft pick for Kopecky
The Blackhawks have acquired a seventh-round draft pick in either the 2012 or 2013 from the Florida Panthers in exchange for the negotiating rights to right winger Tomas Kopecky.
The Blackhawks will get Florida's seventh-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, which is presently conditional to the Nashville Predators. If that pick is not available, Florida will transfer its own seventh-round selection in the 2013 draft.
Kopecky, 29, spent two seasons with the Hawks, amassing 63 points (25 goals, 38 assists) and 88 penalty minutes in 155 regular-season games and 6 points in 18 playoff contests.
Ÿ Tim Sassone will have more on the Blackhawks' recent moves later today and in Tuesday's Daily Herald.
