Hyatt Woodfield to change management
A new company will take over the management of the Hyatt Regency Woodfield in Schaumburg July 1, causing the hotel’s current vice president of operations to resign his chairmanship of the Schaumburg Business Association.
SBA Chairman Jim Gould on Friday announced his immediate resignation to the local business organization because the change in hotel management will soon sever his ties to the Schaumburg business community.
SBA officials won’t begin discussing the succession plan until Monday, Gould said.
Gould is regional vice president of operations for Portfolio Hotels & Resorts, which currently operates the Hyatt Regency Woodfield.
Pyramid Hotel Advisors will take over operations at the hotel next Friday, Gould said. The hotel will not change its name.
Though Gould will not be staying on at the Hyatt long-term, Pyramid has hired him as a 90-day consultant to help oversee projects already in progress.
