Hanover Twp. seeks donated school supplies
Hanover Township is seeking donated school supplies and backpacks for youth returning to school in the fall. Last year, more than 700 backpacks filled with supplies were distributed. Items most needed include backpacks, notebooks, loose-leaf paper, pencils, markers, crayons, scissors, flash drives, blue pens and glue sticks. Gift certificates from Walmart, Target or Kohl’s for school uniforms also will be accepted. Supplies can be dropped off at the township office, 250 S. Rte. 59, Bartlett, or the Astor Avenue Community Center, 7431 Astor Ave., Hanover Park. For more information, call the community center (630) 540-9085.
