The Mane Event returns Aug. 12

The village's can't-miss end-of-the-summer block party, the Mane Event, returns on Friday, Aug. 12, from 5 to 10:30 p.m. in downtown Arlington Heights on the streets of Vail Avenue and Campbell Street.

Band performances in Harmony Park will include the Metropolis Show Choir at 6:15 p.m., Heartless, a Heart tribute band, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and the ever-popular Libido Funk Circus from 9 to 10:30 p.m.

Besides the music, enjoy the Business Expo from 5 to 8p.m. sponsored by Verizon and kids games, pony rides, balloon twisters and great food -- everything that makes a "block party" worth remembering!
