Mt. Prospect says no live chickens

The Mount Prospect Village Board approved an ordinance amending the village code Tuesday, that makes it clear residents cannot own or sell any live chickens, geese, ducks, fowl or poultry. Board members said these animals were mistakenly left off the list when the board updated the code in 2009. Chapter 20 of the village code also prohibits the possession or sale of live swine, pigs, pigeons, bees, horses or cattle ... in case you were wondering.
