Ed. foundation big help for teachers
I wish to publicly thank the Greater St. Charles Education Foundation for honoring my art classroom with a gift of an LCD projector. I recently submitted a grant to the foundation and was awarded $1,437 to purchase and install this great tool for learning. As an art teacher, my visual arts class will most definitely be more visual and my students will benefit enormously from this educational tool for years to come.
More importantly, this foundation has awarded this learning community more than $1 million worth of grants over the years. Many of District 303’s students have benefitted from programs, equipment and many other enriching educational opportunities over the years. Their primary mission is to support District 303 in reaching its goal of excellence in education.
In these lean times, these grants are even more appreciated, as our district seeks to tighten its belt and cut spending where it can. If you have the opportunity and can afford to do so, please consider contributing to this foundation. The money stays local and supports only District 303 students. There is no better feeling than knowing you are helping kids learn.
