Michna injured in Rush loss

SPOKANE, Wash. — A five-game win steak came to end Saturday night as the Chicago Rush (9-4) fell to the Spokane Shock (6-7) at Veterans Memorial Arena.

Rush quarterback Russ Michna, who got the offense rolling quickly with a a successful opening drive, did not play in the second half.

Reggie Gray of the Rush finished the game with a nine receptions for 125 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Turnovers were a problem for the Rush as an interception led to a touchdown, and a Michna fumble was recovered and returned for a second-quarter touchdown by the Shock defense.

Michna was 13 for 18 with 161 yards and 4 touchdowns before exiting the game at halftime due to injury.

The Rush will return home on Sunday to battle the Iowa Barnstormers (3-10) at the Allstate Arena.
