Pensions can’t be paid without money

Regarding the letter from the gentleman from Schaumburg on pensions: He is right. A deal is a deal is a deal — until it is broken. It happens all the time. Just ask the people I worked with 12 years ago. Then-President Clinton allowed our company to stop funding our pension fund. I still have the memo from our management. In addition, everything we were promised went away.

So, if you believe you will get money that isn’t there, good luck. Maybe you’ll have better luck than we did. Nobody else cared about us because it did not affect them.
