Warren was selected from a candidate pool of more than 40 applicants that came from seven states.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Scott Warren as our next superintendent,” board President David Panitch said. “During our search process, everyone on the board, as well as the staff and community interview group, were most impressed with Scott’s passion for kids, vision for 21st century education and collaborative, data-driven leadership style.”
Warren lives in Deerfield with his wife and two teenage sons.
“I am honored to be joining the District 103 community,” he said. “District 103 has a unique opportunity to raise the educational bar, not only for the kids we serve, but also for schools across the nation.
“I look forward to working with such a talented and committed group of parents, teachers, staff, administrators and board members as we prepare our students for life in the 21st century.”
