Walsh’s claim about president is racist

U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh is quoted as saying that President Obama was elected due to “white guilt.” He goes on to say that “white guilt” will drive Obama’s re-election. That’s preposterous. And insulting. Obama carried every county in upstate Illinois, including all of Walsh’s district. It’s insulting to his own constituents who had good reason for their votes, not least that McCain/Palin were obviously incapable of doing the jobs. And the Republicans offer nothing better in 2012.

A week ago Walsh said Sen. Scott Brown should “be ashamed of himself” for not supporting the Ryan Medicare-killing, tax-break-for-the-rich budget proposal that will kill 700,000 more jobs. In fact, it is Walsh who should be ashamed. “White guilt” is a racist screed, and Walsh is race baiting. He hides behind a claim that he is not a racist, but then he completely contradicts himself. Shame is what Walsh brings to the 8th District.
