Fireworks OK only in public displays
On behalf of those that have pets, and/or small children, I would like to ask that people don’t shoot off fireworks or firecrackers this summer holiday season.
For those of you who are new to our country, we have a name for people who do this: criminal. You see, it is illegal to do so. It makes for a very long and uncomfortable day and night for our pets and children, and we don’t like it.
I would ask that anyone who sees a neighbor or friend setting off firecrackers or fireworks call the police and have these lawbreakers fined or, even better, arrested. You can enjoy the summer by visiting our local parks where the city has provided you and your family fireworks themselves for you to enjoy.
