Flag Day picnic in Schaumburg Tuesday

The annual Flag Day picnic in Schaumburg for area seniors on Tuesday, June 14, still has tickets available. Festivities will be held outdoors at 10 a.m. on the municipal plaza at 101 Schaumburg Court between the Municipal Center and the Prairie Center for the Arts. The program includes a flag ceremony, guest speakers, a patriotic singalong, lunch and bingo. Tickets may be purchased for $4 at the Schaumburg Barn, 231 Civic Drive. Program sponsors include the villages of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates, the Schaumburg Park District, Schaumburg Township, the Schaumburg Township District Library, Community Nutrition Network, Manor Care, Arden Court, Harris Bank and Friendship Village.
