Arlington Heights

Ÿ Daniel Johns, 46, of the 4700 block of Main Street, Lisle, was arrested around 4:35 p.m. June 7 at Mariano’s Fresh Market, 802 E. Northwest Hwy., and charged with felony retail theft after he reportedly took four bottles of champagne and a bottle of whiskey. Value was estimated at $1,047. His court date is June 28.

Ÿ William E. Spelz, 51, homeless, was arrested around 5:50 p.m. June 7 and charged with criminal trespass at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton Ave. His court date is July 22.

Ÿ Burglars stole a set of golf clubs valued at $1,200 out of the trunk of a 2001 Ford Taurus SE in a driveway on the 1500 block of West Lexington Drive between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. June 7.

Des Plaines

Ÿ Peter Mocydlarz, 25, and Michael Mocydlarz, 23, both of the 100 block of East Northwest Highway, Des Plaines, and Marcin Peter Sanetra, 25, of the 3800 block of Ruby, Schiller Park, were arrested around 6:30 a.m. June 6 at a home on the 500 block of South Orchard Court and charged with battery, criminal trespass to property, and resisting a peace officer. They reportedly joined a party at the home uninvited, refused to leave and started arguing with other partygoers. Police report said they punched and kicked two men and pushed the female owner of the home when they were told to leave. They also pushed and kicked officers during their arrest. Their court date is June 21.

Ÿ A vandal shot a BB-gun pellet through a second-floor window at the park district building in Prairie Lakes Park, 515 Thacker St., between June 4 and 8. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

Ÿ Thieves stole a men’s dark green mountain bike valued at $300 off a driveway at a home on the 1900 block of Webster Lane between 11 p.m. June 5 and 7 a.m. June 6.

Mount Prospect

Ÿ Thieves stole two off-white concrete planters with flowers outside a garage at a home on the 1700 block of Martha Lane between 5:45 and 8 p.m. June 7. Value was estimated at $150.

Ÿ A vandal hurled a bottle of finger nail hardener solution through a double-pane bedroom window at an apartment on the 2000 block of West Algonquin Road around 8:35 p.m. June 7. Damage was estimated at $150.

Ÿ Burglars stole a GPS and three packs of cigarettes out of an unlocked 2009 GMC pickup truck and a GPS unit out of an unlocked 2001 Oldsmobile minivan in the same driveway on the 200 block of South Albert Street around 1:25 a.m. June 4. The victims saw one offender standing between the two vehicles and ran after him. He disappeared, but a witness at Milburn and Mount Prospect roads saw two male teenagers running across the intersection. Value was estimated at $318.

Palatine

Ÿ James R. Noda, 22, of the 0-100 block of Bedford Court, Hawthorn Woods, was arrested around 1:50 a.m. June 6 and charged with possession of marijuana in a lot at 1450 E. Dundee Road.

Ÿ Joshua A. Gontner, 21, of the 1200 block of East Prairiebrook Drive, Palatine, was arrested around 6 a.m. June 4 on the 600 block of East Lincoln Street and charged with local ordinance possession of marijuana after an officer found him sleeping on a parkway.

Wheeling

Ÿ Ivan Ibarra, 19, of the 700 block of Piper Lane, Prospect Heights, was arrested around 2:20 a.m. June 5 near Northgate Parkway and Strong Avenue and charged with traffic violations, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and felony driving under the influence of alcohol. He sped from the officer, who finally cornered Ibarra in a business parking lot on 12th Street, reports said.

Ÿ Burglars stole a GPS valued at $200 out of an unlocked 2008 Honda Accord in a condominium lot on the 400 block of Plum Creek Drive between 1 and 7 p.m. June 6. Someone used an ignition key in the glove box to start the car, drive it out of the parking space, turn it around and drive it back into the space.

Ÿ Burglars stole a purse out of an unlocked 2006 Lexus SUV at Heritage Park, 222 S. Wolf Road, between 3 and 8 p.m. June 4. Value was estimated at $850.
