Don’t let Democrats steal Social Security

Seniors, get a reality check about Social Security and its financial troubles. Stop listening to Democrats who want to kick the can down the road until all benefits are cut, in particular, those receiving benefits today.

It’s reality that reform is needed now and the ideas from Republicans are about future retirees, not those over age 55 and receiving benefits today.

I’m a senior on Social Security and try to read all available newspapers, but the most significant newspapers I read for the facts are The Wall Street Journal and Investor’s Business Daily. I watch the nightly TV news, but only get a “fair and balance” presentation on the news from Fox News, not the local Fox channel.

Any other newspaper or TV channel is biased in their reporting with no analysis of what is reality.

We seniors have ups/downs at times today, but grew up in the best of times and want our children/grandchildren to enjoy this great country, not in debt paying for our benefits. Every president from Harry Truman through Barack Obama has spent more money than the revenue taken in by the federal government, but only Obama has more than doubled the spending of George Bush in just two years.

Remember, the Democrats opened the locked box to stuff with IOU’s, will take $500 billion from Medicare to fund ObamaCare and increase the debt limit to get past the 2012 election without cutting spending.
