Island Lake liquor commision cancels meeting

Island Lake’s liquor commission has canceled a meeting planned for Thursday night because not enough members would be able to attend the session.

The group is down to two members because member Chuck Cermak was forced to resign after his election to the village board.

The meeting will be rescheduled to Saturday morning, said Mayor Debbie Herrmann, who serves on the commission. The other member is local resident John Meehan.
