Cutting Hall musical celebrates Broadway showtunes

LZP Productions is presenting the musical “The World Goes 'Round” weekends through June 19 at Cutting Hall, 150 E. Wood St., Palatine.

Life with its glories, indignities, hopes and quiet dreams is the subject of this musical revue of the beloved songs of John Kander and Fred Ebb, the creators of the musicals “Chicago” and “Cabaret” among others.

This revue features gems from their incredible career including “And All That Jazz,” “Mister Cellophane,” “Cabaret,” “Maybe This Time,” “Kiss of the Spider Woman” and the classic “New York, New York.”

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m., except for Friday, June 10, when there is no performance.

Ticket prices are $17 in advance, $19 at the door/day of the performance. LZP Productions is offering a $2 discount on either prepaid or at the door tickets for the June 17 and 19 performances to Daily Herald readers who use the code FATHER (all capitals) when ordering online at cuttinghall.org or say “father” to the box office attendant at (847) 202-5222 from 2-6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
