Dr. Christopher Mansolf of Chiro One of Glenview runs to raise funds at 13.1 Chicago Half Marathon
In an effort to raise funds to continue offering chiropractic care to the homeless population of Chicago, the Chiros Care Running Team recently ran in the 3rd Annual 13.1 Chicago Half Marathon held on June 4th in Chicago. The participants endured extreme heat conditions and raised over $5,000 to support this worthy cause. The Chiros Care running team included 63 runners/walkers, 22 staff volunteers and was sponsored by Footlevelers who gave $1,000, an anonymous donor, and by TLK Marketing who printed the Chiros Care Running Team T-shirts.
The 13.1 Chicago Half Marathon started off on June 4, 2011 at 7:15 a.m. but was cancelled by a black flag raised at 9:15 a.m. when All American kid, Zachary Gregory, age 26 collapsed and later died. Saturday's race had been red flagged, indicating extreme heat and runners were advised to take it slow. All participants completing the race received medals and the donations were honored. The Chiros Care Running Team expresses sincere condolences to Zachary's family for their loss.

Chiro One Wellness Centers' Chiros Care Free Clinic recently moved into its new home at Heartland Health Outreach and the non-profit organization is now seeing patients at its new location. Previously held at Inspiration Corporation on Broadway in Chicago, Chiros Care is now open Fridays at Heartland Health Outreach as well as one weekend monthly at Inspiration Corporation.
Chiros Care offers complimentary chiropractic care to homeless and at-risk people of Chicago who do not have health insurance and who cannot afford medical care and has been serving the homeless population since May of 2010.

Chiros Care was brought to fruition when Chief Operations Officer and founding partner, Dr. Sam Wang and Chiro One Wellness Centers of Evanston Clinic Director, Dr. Cori Bauer teamed together to make this dream a reality. Chiro One Wellness Centers is supporting this effort with company-wide volunteers from all locations and Heartland Health Alliance and Inspiration Corporation are generously offering clinic space to provide this benefit to their participants as well as local shelters.
Chiros Care Free Clinic is a non-profit, volunteer based free chiropractic clinic that serves the homeless population of Chicago. The clinic is led by Chiro One Wellness Centers' doctors and seeks to provide chiropractic care to Chicago's neediest. All services are provided at no charge.
