Dining events: Tokio Pub comes to Schaumburg

Take on Tokio

Global plates, lounge-like vibe, ambient electro beat and it's in Schaumburg! Lettuce Entertain You's newest concept, Tokio Pub, opened just the other week next to Shaw's Crab House. Chef Naoki Nakashima's menu of shareable fare draws on Pan Asian and Latin American flavors. Enjoy ginger-inflected chicken meatball skewers or sweet-spicy baby back ribs while sipping yuzu margaritas or merlot-spiked, sake sangria.

Wine and dine

Mill Creek Banquets chef Bob Janz presents a five-course dinner to enjoy with West Coast wines selected by sommeliers Kirk Donald and Kurt Linkins. Roasted pepper and goat cheese flatbreads, California maki rolls and guacamole with mini taquitos paired with Angeline Russian River Sauvignon Blanc 2010 are just the beginning. The evening costs $49 (plus tax and gratuity); reservations required.
