Vista's annual bike rodeo comes June 5 to Lindenhurst

Waukegan, IL, June 2, 2011 — Vista Health System will hold its annual Bike Rodeo from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 5 at the Vista Surgery Center and new Freestanding Emergency Center at 1050 Red Oak Lane, Lindenhurst.

The event will feature a high energy BMX stunt show, kids' bike obstacle course, free bike helmets for the first 100 kids, raffle for one boy's and one girl's bike, free refreshments and snacks, plus a variety of educational information on bike safety and general healthcare. The BMX stunt show will be held at noon with the obstacle course open throughout the event.

The family-friendly bike rodeo also is an opportunity for local residents to tour Vista's growing medical facility in Lindenhurst. The Vista Freestanding Emergency Center will be open to visitors, as will the adjacent Vista Surgery Center. Medical professionals and volunteers from Vista will be on hand to provide information about the many healthcare services offered at Vista. The new Lindenhurst E.R. is completed and awaiting final state approval to begin accepting patients.

Vista is located near the intersection of Grand Avenue and North Deep Lake Road between the Lake Villa Public Library and Village at Victory Lakes residential development.
