Arlington Heights to honor its fallen heroes
Arlington Heights will pay special tribute on Memorial Day, May 30, to servicemen who lived in the village and died during 15 military conflicts of the United States, beginning with the Civil War.
The ceremony following the village’s parade will include the laying of a wreath for each of “Arlington’s Fallen Heroes.” It will be at 11 a.m. in Memorial Park, Chestnut Avenue and Fremont Street.
A paver honoring each man has been installed at the park.
The parade will step off at 9:30 a.m. at village hall. The route is west on Sigwalt Street to Dunton Avenue, north to Euclid Avenue and south on Chestnut to the park.
