Armed robbery at Winfield pharmacy
A Winfield pharmacy was robbed Monday afternoon by a man brandishing a weapon and wearing a dark wig and dark clothes, authorities said.
Police said a white male, believed to be in his mid-20s and weighing about 190 pounds, robbed the CVS pharmacy about 2 p.m. at the corner of Geneva and Pleasant Hill roads.
Sgt. Joe Grimaldi said the man was seen leaving the scene northbound on Pleasant Hill Road in a metallic blue truck.
Grimaldi did not say what kind of weapon was used or what was taken.
Anyone with information should call the Winfield Police Department at (630) 933-7160 and ask to speak to investigations.
Grimaldi said police still had to confirm some details before they could release more information.
A shift supervisor at the pharmacy declined to comment.
