Go Roma extends its Kids Eat Free Sunday promotion to include Memorial Day. The offer applies to kids 12 and younger who order off the kids menu (regularly $4.79). Gluten-free and whole-wheat pastas are available; kids meals come with a cookie and a choice of apple juice, soda or milk.

Better buns

Just when you thought Fodrak's burgers couldn't get any better, the folks at the Libertyville eatery introduce a better bun. For the rest of May (aka National Hamburger Month) diners can get any of the half-pound Black Angus Burgers on a pretzel bun. The dough is sturdier than standard buns, so you don't have to worry about your burger falling apart — even if you pile on the toppings.
